The main attraction of the Kodungallur Meena Bharani is the reunion of Oracles also known as "Komarams" (à´•ോമരം) or "Vellichapads" (à´µെà´³ിà´š്à´šà´ª്à´ªാà´Ÿ്) on the Kavu Theendal day. All of the Komarams are dressed in red, with untied hair and swinging swords in their hands creating a crimson atmosphere there. It is also a part of the ritual to scatter turmeric powder on the body of those who performing Komaram or Vellichapadu.

They throw objects such as sticks or swards into the temple which signify the Kavu Theendal. The Komarams or oracles sing songs that are associated with the legend of the Goddess (Kodungallur Amma), farming, culture, and mother earth.

Another highlight of the Kavutheendal and Kodungallur Bharani festival is the abusive song of the deity, the "Mother of Kodungallur" (Kodungalluramma), the infamous song is also known as Kodungallur Bharani Pattu, each line of the song contains obscene language and sexually explicit words about the mother or deity of the temple.
