Former minister and senior Congress leader; KK Ramachandran Master passed away
Kozhikode: Former minister and senior Congress leader KK Ramachandran Master (78) passed away. He died at a private hospital in Kozhikode at 3.30 am today following a heart attack. According to some media reports, the funeral will be held at the Kakkodi homestead today.
He has served as a minister in the A K Antony cabinet, and the Oommen Chandy cabinet. He was the Minister of Food and Public Distribution in the AK Antony Cabinet from May 3, 1995 and the Minister of Health in the Oommen Chandy Cabinet from 2004.
He has won three times as an MLA election from Bathery and three times from Kalpetta., failed once. He was the President of Kozhikode Rural DCC. He resigned as a school teacher in Kenichira and entered full-time public service.
KK Ramachandran Master was expelled from the party in 2011 after coming to the fore with serious allegations of corruption, including titanium, against Congress leaders.
