Enikas Radio and TV journalist Malalai Maiwand shot dead in Afghanistan
Malalai Maiwand was a TV presenter and women's rights activist in Afghanistan. Last month, two journalists were killed in the country. Afghanistan is one of the most insecure countries for journalists.
Including her, 10 journalists and media workers got killed in the country this year.
She was on the way to work when the incident happened in Jalalabad on Thursday.
According to Reuters news agency reports, Her mother, also an activist, was killed by unknown gunmen five years ago.
Islamic State claimed responsibility for the shooting death of a female TV presenter and women's rights activist in Afghanistan on Thursday - Times of India reported.
