Thiruvananthapuram: The Department of Motor Vehicles has recommended action against the driver of the car in an incident where the dog was tied on a running car in Kerala. The Department of Motor Vehicles said in a post on its Facebook page that it had recommended action against the driver's license.

Some people question the very meaning of the word human, the post said. The post also mentions what else to describe the incident where a live dog was tied up in his car on a tar road while it's running.

The dog has been dragged nearly 2 kilometers, the dog is now in a condition where the bones can be seen outside.

A case was registered against the driver under the Motor Vehicle Act and the vehicle was taken into custody. The post also said it had recommended action against the driver's license.

The incident took place around 10 am today. Some of the locals saw the dog being dragged in a car near Paravur, Chalakka Medical College.

At first, the dog ran after the car and fell on the road as the speed of the vehicle increased. The dog has wounds all over the body.

The driver was arrested by the Chengamanad police in connection with the incident.

The Chengamanad police registered the case voluntarily after noticing the dog being tied up on social media.

The case was registered against Yusuf under sections 428 and 429 of the IPC and the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act. Kerala Police said in an official Facebook post.
