New Delhi: The permanent account number or PAN card issued under the Income Tax Act is one of the most important financial and identity documents in India. Duplicate applications can be submitted through the NSDL website. NSDL e-Government is a government agency tasked by the Income Tax (IT) Department to receive and process PAN applications.

However, an old PAN card number is required when applying for a duplicate one. But what if you do not remember your old pan card number? Don't worry, there is a way to find it. Let's see what to do about it.

  • Visit the website: incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/home
  • Click on the 'Know your PAN' option
  • Fill in the details and enter 'Submit'
  • Enter the OTP received on the mobile number
  • Click 'Evaluate'.
  • Your PAN number, name and jurisdiction will be displayed on the screen.
  • Login to the website: onlineservices.nsdl.com
  • Select Services and click on the PAN option
  • Click 'Apply' for a reprint of PAN card

Fill up the form and enter your PAN number, email id and mobile number. (Your address can be updated using Aadhaar number issued by "UIDAI" Unique Identification Authority of India)
