Pala: The couple from Kottayam has donated Rs 25,000 to the Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund (CMDRF). They became an example by donating cash, which was meant for his wedding expenses. Emil, son of Sunny and Princi residing at Pala, is the man who made the donation.

He gets hitched with Mariya, daughter of Athirambuzha native Varghese and Lucy. Their wedding took place at St. Thomas Church, Arunapuzham, without any grandeur.

The money was handed over to Mani C Kappan MLA, who attended the wedding reception. The MLA said that, during the devastating period of coronavirus pandemic, Emil's decision to donate his wedding expense to CMDRF was a model for our society.
